03, May, 2025

Wistron Medical Technology has long been committed to medical technology research and development, driving smart healthcare to a new era. Upholding Wistron’s belief in using its products to benefit society,
Chairman Huang Chun-tung, together with Taipei 101 Chairman Chia Yung-chieh, donated a lower limb exoskeleton robot, “Keeogo” independently developed and manufactured by Wistron Medical Technology, to the Ministry of Health and Welfare Keelung Hospital at the 2025 Taipei 101 Charity Vertical Marathon. This donation will bring new rehabilitation opportunities to local patients with mobility impairments.

Since its launch in Taiwan in 2019, the “Keeogo” lower limb exoskeleton robot developed by Wistron Medical Technology has garnered significant attention for its lightweight design and full functionality. Weighing only 6.8 kg, the robot is equipped with an advanced sensing system and can assist patients in various movements such as walking and climbing stairs. This product has been recognized by numerous medical centers and large medical institutions, including Taipei Veterans General Hospital, China Medical University Hospital, Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, and Mackay Memorial Hospital. As of March 2025, 35 medical institutions and universities in Taiwan have implemented its use, and its marketing footprint extends to the United States, Canada, Southeast Asia, mainland China, and the Middle East.

Chairman Huang Chun-tung stated, “Wistron Medical’s initial intention and responsibility is to help patients with mobility impairments regain their mobility and improve their quality of life through the power of medical technology. We specifically chose to hold the donation ceremony at a charity marathon to encourage others to benefit from this advanced medical technology throughout Taiwan.

Superintendent Lin San-chi of Keelung Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, thanked Wistron Medical and related organizations for their support, stating that they will make good use of this advanced equipment, with the medical team and 15 professional physical therapists involved in training and clinical application, so that patients in the Keelung area can enjoy high-tech rehabilitation services without having to travel far.

To promote the widespread adoption of smart healthcare across Taiwan, Wistron Medical Technology announced the launch of the “Keeogo Donation Program,” calling on philanthropists and businesses to join hands in promoting the program. The goal is to deploy AI-powered smart exoskeleton robots in all 22 counties and cities of Taiwan by 2025, so that every patient in need in cities, towns, and outlying islands can benefit, gradually realizing the vision of a healthy Taiwan.
